Наша команда — это гиды с дипломом международного образца (IFMGA/UIAGM). Мы работаем по всему альпийскому региону — за плечами сотни восхождений: от ледников Монблана до скальных стен Доломит.

Review of our Alpine trip with Roman and Olga (July 10–13, 2025)

From July 10 to 13, 2025, I had the pleasure of sharing several mountain climbs in the Mont Blanc massif with my daughter Stella, guided by Roman and Olga.

Preparation

A definite highlight: the first day spent in the Courmayeur valley, fully dedicated to preparation. It allowed us to get to know our guides — very friendly people — and, most importantly, to make sure we had the technical skills needed for the planned routes. Every evening included a short, useful briefing to prepare for the next day’s climb.

Climbs

Day 2 — Aiguilles Marbrées: cramponing, rappelling, and first exciting experiences under expert supervision.

Day 3 — Arête des Cosmiques (from Chamonix): a magnificent route ending right in front of tourists on the Aiguille du Midi platform. Special mention for the flawless organization of the transfer between Courmayeur and Chamonix (reserved cable car and tunnel toll covered).

Day 4 — Arête de Rochefort (instead of Dent du Géant): due to uncertain weather with a risk of thunderstorms, Roman wisely decided to skip Dent du Géant. Safety first! We then started the Arête de Rochefort — a beautiful alternative.

Our impressions

We have been regularly climbing with French guides in the Alps for five years. Based on this experience, I can confidently say that Roman and Olga are true professionals: competent, reassuring, very friendly, and with them, you feel completely safe.

👉 A small note (just to nitpick 😇): slightly more communication between signing the contract and the trip would have been appreciated.
